PAPERS & SUBSTRATES
What paper or substrate to choose for self-adhesive labels?
The choice of paper or material used to design the label that will showcase your products is a fundamental step. The label makes it possible to sublimate the product and its packaging, but it also has a product protection function. As such, the choice of material is crucial to be consistent with the brand image of the product while ensuring its protection and preservation, depending on the context of use.
Substrate selection guide
ADESA Smartlabel offers you several high-quality adhesive supports, suitable for most constraints: coated and uncoated papers, recycled papers, biodegradable and compostable papers, synthetic materials (polypropylene and PLA) and biobased supports. To make your choice easier, consult our guides dedicated to each category and view some examples.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE : If you are printing a label with a solid black background, we would like to draw your attention that the edge of the paper will be highlighted when laser cutting the label. This will result in creating a light white net all around the label. If you wish to obtain a label with a black border (to affix to black packaging for example), we recommend that you contact our customer service beforehand to consider other solutions.
