OUR PRINTING WORKSHOP
The 100% French bet !
100% PRODUCTION IN FRANCE
From printing, to shaping, including delivery and customer service, all stages of manufacturing and monitoring of our products are processed in France. For more than 50 years, our workshop has been printing labels for major French and international brands, but also for SMEs and craftsmen. In a few years, ADESA has become a benchmark in its field by offering quality prints at competitive prices.
A COMPLETE AND EFFICIENT MACHINE PARK
Our machine park is made up of the following equipment, all located in our factory in La Rouvière in the Gard:

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT PRINTING PROCESSES ?
Flexography
Inspired by letterpress printing, flexography is a direct printing technique that uses a flexible plastic plate to deposit ink on the paper. This plate, called a "cliché" is coated with ink and then placed in direct contact with the adhesive paper. Ink transfer occurs only where the text is to be printed. Colorimetry can be used for bespoke Pantone color searches to ensure repeatability of the desired shade over multiple prints. Flexography makes it possible to produce large quantities of labels at high speed with strong industrial constraints (spot colors, multilayers, etc.). It also offers the possibility of cold gilding in a single pass. However, it is not suitable for short runs as it requires the use of printing tools which are the responsibility of the customer.
ElectroInk Digital printing
ElectroInk digital printing technology was developed by HP. For more than 20 years, this technology has revolutionized printing by offering great printing flexibility and exceptional quality on a large number of media, even for small runs. The speed of implementation and the quality of printing allow very short printing times, without jamming. Indeed, a single PDF file meeting our specifications is sufficient for printing. Adesa was the first label printing site to deploy this technology in the early 2000s, and since that date, our printing plant has implemented all the technological developments offered by HP ™ to continuously improve the quality of the products offered to our customers.
Inkjet printing
Inkjet printing is a digital technique that involves spraying micro-droplets of ink onto the adhesive backing. Fast, inkjet printing is very complementary to ElectroInk because it offers the same flexibility on small quantities, with greater opacity on transparent materials (better rendering of “white” which gives a more opaque effect), and improved UV resistance for labels exposed to the elements.
Screen printing
Screen printing is one of the oldest printing techniques. It consists of printing images and texts on the adhesive support using a kind of "stencil". To perform the printing, a micro-perforated polyamide or polyester screen is used. The screen coated with ink and then a film protects the part to be masked from ultraviolet rays. Once the ink reacts to the light, the light hardens and permeates the adhesive paper only in selected areas. Very precise and very qualitative, screen printing is a rather slow technique which is not suitable for large series. It is reserved for high-tech productions, where exceptional quality results are required. This printing method is popular in the cosmetics industry.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT FINISHING PROCESSES ?
Laser cutting
ADESA has three laser cuts (SEI) mainly used for standard orders. The principle of operation of laser cutting is to detect a cutting net (previously integrated into the print PDF file) to cut the label to its final shape. The advantage of this process is that it is possible to cut all kinds of label shapes (round, star, heart, square, oval ...).
Foiling and embossing
Our NewFoil machine uses gilding films of different colors (bronze, silver, gold, red, pink, blue, green…) which are heated on a metal plate. The pressure exerted makes it possible to deposit the veil of gilding on the selected parts.
Cutting machines
Mechanical cutting uses cutters in the format of the final label. This process requires pre-ordering cutting tools in advance, which extends production times. It is not possible to cut any size, it is often standard shapes (rectangle, round, square ...) of several dimensions.
Packaging machines
Packaging machines allow you to start from a mother roll made up of a multitude of labels, to produce multiple daughter rolls with the quantities of labels per roll desired by the customer.
