In any self-adhesive label project, there is a key question: "What should I choose between manual and automatic application? In this article we will explain the difference between manual and automatic application. To begin with, depending on the quantity of products to be labelled, it may be worthwhile to opt for automatic application. This would allow you to be more efficient as you would not have to label all the products by hand.

MANUAL DISPENSER : THE IDEAL METHOD FOR LABELLING SMALL QUANTITIES

Manual application, as the name implies, means that the labels will be stuck on the packaging one by one manually. It is ideal for small quantities. The reel packaging allows the label to be easily peeled off the glassine, but also to be used repeatedly without damaging the remaining labels.

AUTOMATIC DISPENSER: PRODUCTIVITY GAINS FOR LARGE-SCALE LABELLING

Automatic labelling is very often used when production is more or less industrialised. This solution allows a real gain in productivity and time: indeed the labelling is done with the help of a machine. This machine allows the labels to be stuck on quickly one after the other. This makes self-adhesive labelling the ideal solution for companies and producers who produce large/medium quantities.

If you decide to opt for automatic application, you will need to fill in a number of features in the product sheet so that we can match the characteristics of your labeller.

STEP 1 | WHICH WAY OUT SHOULD I CHOOSE?
The exit direction to be selected varies according to your machine, it allows you to define the orientation towards which the labels will appear on the reel when you unwind it. There are 4 different exit directions available: to help you select the right direction for your production you can consult our dedicated page.

STEP 2 | WHICH ROLL DIAMETER TO CHOOSE?

The so-called core is the cardboard roll on which the glassine and labels are wound. You must select the diameter of the core you want: 40 or 76 mm. It is important to choose the right diameter for the technical constraints of your machine in order to obtain the best result.
