List of checkpoints carried out by Adesa prepress dept.

Here is the exhaustive list of all the points that our prepress dept. checks and corrects for free on your web or traditional orders. Indeed, before printing the self-adhesive labels, our prepress dept. checks the files sent by you at several levels:

• DIMENSIONS: Check that the size of the file supplied complies with the dimensions indicated in the corresponding order form
• ORIENTATION: Check the consistency between the orientation of the illustration and the winding direction of the spool indicated when adding to the basket (choice of automatic dispenser)
• WHITE LAYER: If you have chosen to print your label on a support requiring a white printing (transparent material for example), check the presence of a layer corresponding to the white printing in the file
• FONTES: Control of the vectorization of the fonts
• CUTTING SHAPE: Check for the presence of the cutting fillet in the correctly named file: “Decoupe” (without “é”)
• QUIET ZONE: Checking the absence of iconographic and / or textual elements in the quiet zone (zone between 0 and 2 mm from the outer edge of the cut label)

What do we do when an issue is detected?

During this check, if potential risks are detected, Adesa's prepress dept. will either "block" your file or correct it.

• In the event of a blockage: we will notify you of any problems encountered, and we will ask you to send us a new corrected file.
• Need to correct the files: If the correction is possible and the prepress team is asked to significantly modify the layout of the label, an approval will then be submitted to you for your validation. Otherwise, your file will be printed after correction, without prior submission of an approval.

⚠️Caution: In the absence of a cutting shape in your file, or of the presence of crop marks at the ends without clear instructions, the prepress team may decide to proceed without prior information to a straight cut.

List of items NOT checked by the prepress dept.

Our prepress control is focused exclusively on the technical aspects related to the printing of the file which are essential for its good printing. As a result, our prepress dept. do not check and correct the layout itself, as well as the content.

It is therefore up to you to control the list of the following points because you are responsible for them:

• Check that the resolution of the images is sufficient with regard to our technical recommendations (300 dpi at 1: 1 scale)
• Check that your die-cut shape is correct as well as its placement in the file
• Check that the texts are written in a sufficient size and in an adequate colorimetric mode to guarantee good readability at 1: 1 scale, in accordance with the regulations
• Check that the label includes all the legal notices inherent to the container and content, as well as the regulations in force in the country of destination of the product
• Check that you have the rights to use the labels, certificates, images and logos affixed to the label
• Make sure you are using fontes for which you have the correct license
• Check that all of your editorial content does not contain any spelling errors or typographical errors
• Check that your postal addresses, email or phone numbers are correctly formulated
• Check that the message and the layout do not infringe the regulations in force

On all of these points, Adesa's prepress dept. will not be able to correct your files. In the event that you request the assistance of the prepress dept. on one of the elements indicated above, the responsibility of the company Adesa can in no case be engaged in the event of error or unsatisfactory result.

In addition, the Adesa team reserves the right to block the production of a label whose message would clearly infringe the regulations in force or good morals.
